The Starry Paths and the unique landscapes surrounding them can be explored in a variety of ways, particularly in a sustainable and ecological way.
The meditative pilgrimage hikes on a section of the European Way of St. James pilgrims in the Bliesgau biosphere reserve are integrated into the special atmosphere of the four seasons and see themselves as explorations of sustainability. The mission of a UNESCO biosphere reserve and questions about the sources of inner strength and the good life become thematic companions along the way in a poetic way. The route starts at the Wintringer Chapel Cultural Site on the Wintringer farm.
After an introduction, you set off on the “Starry Path/Chemin des étoiles”, past the “Field of Stars” and a sunken garden to the stage finish of the Pilgrim hostel “Old farmhouse in Auersmacher. There, coffee and homemade cake will be served and after a pause in the village church, the approx. 15 kilometer hike with inclines leads back to the medieval Wintringer Chapel.
Please note: The pilgrimage hike is moderately difficult and requires a good physical condition!
Please bring backpack food according to your own needs and, if necessary, rainwear and good shoes.
